Osborne, 92, of Madelia, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Mankato. Services are at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Madelia, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia. There will be a parish prayer service at the funeral home 7:30 p.m. Friday. She is survived by son, William Osborne and wife Eva of Forth Worth, Texas; daughters, Marylin Frederickson of St. Paul, Margie Winch and husband Bill of Mankato, Kay Hippert and husband Daryl of Glenwood, Karen Paulson of Eagle Lake, and Vivian Peyman and husband Daryle of Fairmont; step-daughter, Clair Klaras of Owantonna; 20 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Eileen Keenan; step-son, Eugene Osborne; three grandsons and four great grandchildren. She was born May 22, 1909, in Madelia, to Jospeh and Elizabeth (Phalen) McMullen. She graduated from St. James High School in 1927. She married Raymond Osborne on Feb. 23, 1931, in Madelia. They farmed near Lewisville and retired to Madelia in 1961. Raymond died on April 27, 1978. Mary moved to Mankato in 1990 and entered the Hillcrest Healthcare Center on Nov. 9, 1999. Olive E. Rogers, 92, of Madelia, formerly of Lake Crystal, died on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at Luther Memorial Home in Madelia. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal, with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Madelia. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church Monday. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Vera and Donald Holzapfel of Mankato, Audrey and Gustav Degler of Eagan and Helen and Lee Owens of Lake Crystal; son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Charlotte Rogers of Lake Crystal; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother Howard Chamberlain of Mankato; brothers-in-law Ralph Jensen of Minneapolis and Cecil Rogers of Mankato; sisters-in-law and husbands, Virginia and Allen Asleson of Madison Lake, Bessie Smith of St. James and Velma Rogers of Madelia; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters Norma Wengert and Mildred Jensen; and brothers Jason, George and Paul Chamberlain. She was born on Jan. 6, 1909, to George and Eva (Fellows) Chamberlain in rural Lyndon, Whiteside County, Illinois. While a small child, she moved with her family to Mora and then, as a teenager, to the Madelia area. She married Ivan J. Rogers on June 13, 1931, in St. James. They lived along the Watonwan River before moving to a farm near Lake Crystal in the 1940s. She was a homemaker and farm wife all her life. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lake Crystal and a former member of the Yadsendew Neighbors Club. Phyllis C. Forbrook, 74, of Nicollet, died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2001, at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Care Center in Winthrop. Arrangements are pending with Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Nicollet.
