Doris Bradford, 85, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at her home in Gaylord. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Gaylord Municipal Cemetery in Gaylord. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Earl Tabbert of Hutchinson; sisters, Bertha Baird of Garnett, Kansas and Eva and husband Bill Thompson of Ottawa, Kansas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn in 1972; three brothers and six sisters. She was born May 18, 1915, in Ottawa, Kansas, to Henry and Elma (Sawyer) Herrill. She married Glenn Bradford on March 27, 1938, in Garnett, Kansas. They traveled with Glenn's drilling business in many states. They moved to Gaylord in 1961 after accepting a job with the Mueller Well Company. She operated an antique business for many years. She was a member of the Gaylord Christian Women's Club and a volunteer at the Gaylord Lakeview Home. Corey Joseph Marlowe, 16, of Fairfax, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale as a result to injuries he sustained in an automobile accident. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Fairfax with burial in Ft. Ridgely Cemetery in Ridgely Township, Nicollet County. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today and 7:30-8 a.m. Monday at Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Fairfax. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church Monday. He is survived by parents, Ron and Gina Marlowe of Fairfax; brother, Jeff Marlowe of Fairfax; maternal grandparents, Myron and Vernette Kiecker of Fairfax; paternal grandmother, Rose Marlowe of Fairfax; aunts and uncles, Carloyn and Vern Peterson of Fairfax, Becky and Alan Marti of Fairfax, Mary and Mike Kastanek of Littleton, Colo., Chuck Marlowe of Fairfax, and Greg and Donna Marlowe of New Ulm; and also many cousins, other relatives and friends. He was born Sept. 14, 1983, in Sleepy Eye to Ron and Gina (Kiecker) Marlowe. He was a student at G.F.W. High School and had completed his sophomore year. He worked summer months for Kiecker Seed Company of Fairfax. He belonged to the Y.P.S. (Young People's Society). Marcellus Sveine, 71, of Sartell and formerly of Babbitt, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2000, at the Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Messiah Lutheran Church in Sartell with a full military honors burial at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the Lake Hanska Lutheran Cemetery, Hanska. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Daniel Funeral Home in Sartell and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Messiah Lutheran Church or donor's choice. He is survived by wife, Sharon of Sartell; children, Vicky Petersen of Sartell, Susan Sutton of Duluth, Michael Sveine of San Antonio, Tex.; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren Ashley Helgeson and Madeline O'Rourke; brothers and sisters Verna Kenney of Renton, Wash., Burton of Two Harbors, George of New Ulm, Gordon of St. James; mother-in-law, Mildred Cordes, and also many nieces, nephews in-laws and their families and special caregivers. He is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Madison Groskruetz; brothers, Eldor, Wallace, Alexander; sisters, Helen Simpson, Irene Glaser, Nina Murphey, three infant brothers; and one infant sister. He was born June 29, 1929, in Lake Hanska Township, Brown County, to George and Marie (Skarpohl) Sveine. His family moved to New Ulm where he grew up and went to school. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He married Sharon L. Cordes on Aug. 20, 1955, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in New Ulm. In 1956 he moved to Babbitt where he resided for 32 years. He was employed as an electrician for Reserve Mining in Babbitt for 30 years until 1987 and later was employed by the Army Corps of Engineers. He retired in 1993. He became a resident of Sartell in October of 1995. He was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Sartell.
