   Ellsworth G. Gode, 84, of Lamberton, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002 at his home in Lamberton.
   Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at United Methodist Church in Lamberton, with Pastor Theodora Hall presiding. Interment will be in Lamberton Cemetery.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-9 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberto. Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church.
   Survivors include his wife, Carol Joyce Gode of Lamberton; children: Joyce and husband Tom Hoffrogge of Lamberton, James and wife Monica of Sanborn, and John and his wife Deb of Sanborn; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; two brothers, Melven Gode of Sun City, Ariz. and Delbert Gode of Burnsville; one sister, LeOra Batson of Macungzie, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Hulda Gode; a daughter, Janice; his sisters, Mable and Florence along with one brother, Arnold.
   Ellsworth Gode was born Jan. 29, 1918 in Sanborn, MN, to Albert and Hulda (Kissner) Gode. He grew up and attended school in Sanborn, graduating from Sanborn High School in 1939. On Aug. 25,1946 Ellsworth married Carol Joyce Kersten at the E.U.B Church in Springfield. He was a dairy farmer in Germantown Township all his life until his retirement in 1979 when he moved into Lamberton.
   Ellsworth was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Lamberton. He served as a Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent as well as participating in the church choir, which he loved to do. Ellsworth was fond of driving his pick-up truck downtown and having coffee at Sanger's Bakery. He also loved to play cards and watch baseball.

   Roger T. Tykwinski, 58, of 913 South Payne Street in New Ulm died Friday, August 23, 2002 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
   Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm with burial at a later date.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-11 a.m. Tuesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
   Roger is survived by his wife, Becky Tykwinski of New Ulm; a daughter and son-in-law, Reane and Duane Hendrickson of Rock Lake, North Dakota; sons and daughters-in-law, Ric and Annie Tykwinski of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and Ryan and Jodi Tykwinski of Burnsville; two grandchildren; step-children, Brent Lenz of Faribault and Dara Lenz of Collinsville, Illinois; sisters and brother-in-law, Joan and Bob Gawarecki of Ivanhoe, Phyllis and Mick Leibfried of Blaine, Karen and Marvin Swanson of Ivanhoe and Kathleen Tykwinski and her special friend John Przymus of Villard; and a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Julie Tykwinski of Ivanhoe.
   Roger was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, James Tykwinski.
   Roger was born September 25, 1943 in Ivanhoe to Raymond and Luitta ( Lemker ) Tykwinski. He was a graduate of Ivanhoe High School. He married Becky Evans on July 21, 1992 in Alexandria. Roger was previously employed at Appleton Silo and Lockwood Motors in Marshall and then at Jensen Motors and Runnings in New Ulm at the time of his death. He was a member and past president of the Winthrop Golf Course and a member of Ducks Unlimited.

   Oscar Zeller, 89, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of St. Cloud, died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002 at the Ft. Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio.
   Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springifled, with burial in St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery.
   Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today and 7:30-10 a.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
   He was married to Eleanor Bigot of Springfield on Aug. 12, 1940 at St. Raphael's.

   Helen Zempel, 86, of Franklin, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002 at the Redwood Area Hospital.
   Services are pending with Nelson-Martin Funeral Service of Morgan.
