   Irvin Nesburg, 94, of Fairfax died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 1999 at Fairfax Community Home.
   Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township, Renville County, with burial in Hauges Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4- 8 p.m. Thursday at Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township, Renville County and continues one hour before the service Friday at the church.
   Minnesota Valley Funeral Home of New Ulm is in charge of arrangements.
   He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Muriel and Ernie Graham of Bloomington, Wanda and Ben Mann of Kennewick, Wash., Beverly and Ken Thompson of Bloomington; son and daughter-in-law, Duane and Gwen Nesburg of rural Fairfax; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren; sister, Bernice Halvorson of Circle Pines, Alice Fox of Minneapolis; sisters-in- law, Lyla Nesburg of rural Fairfax, Vivian Nesburg of Minneapolis, Rose Peterson and Ann Peterson both of Franklin; and many nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Hazel Nesburg on June 12, 1983; son, Kenneth Nesburg in 1968; brothers, Oscar, Willard, Arthur, Durward, Ralph and Julian Nesburg; and sisters, Mabel Nesburg and Annie Berg.
   He was born on May 8, 1905, in Camp Township, Renville County to Gunder and Marie (Nesseth) Nesburg. He married Hazel Peterson on Sep. 1, 1926, at the Hauges Parsonage in Camp Township, Renville County. They farmed in Camp Township until 1970 when they retired and moved to Fairfax. He was a member of the Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township, Renville County, where he served on the church board. He had been a District 10 school board member.

   Gail Grunig, 45, of rural Bingham Lake and formerly of Comfrey, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999 in Tempe, Ariz.
   A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, Aug. 28 at 1:30 p.m. at the Comfrey Community Center. Her cremated remains were scattered in Arizona.
   Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield is handling local arrangements.
   She is survived by husband Farley; son Brad of Mankato; daughter Bethanie of Minneapolis; parents, Darrell and Arlene Liesenfeld of Springfield; parents-in-law, Roger and Dorothy Grunig of Comfrey; maternal grandparents, George and Mollie Elsing of Springfield; and nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents.
   She was born Oct. 3, 1953, in Comfrey to Darrell and Arlene (Elsing) Liesenfeld. She was raised on the family farm in Delton Township, Cottonwood County. She graduated from Comfrey High School in 1972. She married Farley Grunig on June 17, 1972 at Salem Lutheran Church in Comfrey. They moved to North Mankato and in October 1973 moved to Windom. In May, 1980 the family moved to a farm in Delton Township, Cottonwood County. She owned and operated "Personally Yours" embroidery and printing, and she worked part-time at Jackpot Junction.
   Memorials are preferred to the charity of the donor's choice.

   Warren 'Homer' Ahlness, 45, of New Ulm and formerly of Hanska died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2999, at Cass Lake.
    Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Linden Lutheran Church, rural Hanska with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4- 8 p.m. Friday at Firle Funeral Home in Hanska and one hour prior to services at the church.

   Thomas Bruns, 43, of Clovis, Calif., and formerly of Gibbon, died Aug. 22, 1999 in an automobile accident.
   Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Baptist Church, Clovis, with burial in the Clovis District Cemetery.
   Boice Funeral Home handled arrangements.
   A memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at the Sportsmen's Club in rural Gibbon.
   He is survived by wife, Darlene; stepson, Jeff and his wife Gaynell Pierce; grandchildren, Zachary and Alyssa, all of Clovis; parents, Harlan and Lerain Bruns of northern Minnesota; brothers, Terry Bruns, Tim and his wife Barb Bruns; sister, Tammie Kaste and husband, John, of Minnesota; parents-in-law, Lee and Cleo Brannum of Squaw Valley; other relatives and friends.
   He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ted and Ella Bruns, and Art and Viola Schauer.
   He was born July 25, 1956, in Sleepy Eye to Harlan and Lerain (Schauer) Bruns. h School. He graduated from Gibbon High School in 1974. He attended Hutchinson Vocational School. He worked in oil field in Texas, North Dakota, Oklahoma and Colorado. He worked in construction in California. He married Darlene Brannum on Aug. 19, 1989.

   Pearl Fischer, 84, of Sleepy Eye, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1999, at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Friday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, and at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
   She is survived by a daughter, Sharon "Boots" Remus of Sleepy Eye; sons, Larry and wife Marlene Fischer of Hanska, and Ronald and wife Jane Fischer of Sleepy Eye; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy and wife Viola Suker and Robert and wife Inez Sucker, all of Sleepy Eye; sister, Dorothy Seifert of Glendale, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Carol Walden and Katherine Hansen, both of Sleepy Eye; brothers-in-law, Marvin and wife Marion Fischer of St. Paul and Dean and wife Judy Fischer of New Ulm; daughter-in-law, Oradell Fischer of Sleepy Eye; several nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Martha Schmidt of Sleepy Eye.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Clarence; a son Robert "Pork" Fischer; and grandchildren, Cindy and Rick Fischer.
   She was born July 31, 1915, in St. Peter to Ben and Mayme (Wolf) Sucker. She lived for a short time in St. Peter and Lakefield, and moved at a young age to Sleepy Eye. She attended St. John's Lutheran School in Sleepy Eye. She married Clarence "Chink" Fischer on April 18, 1935 in New Ulm. The couple lived in Sleepy Eye where Pearl worked as a waitress at Delroy. She also worked at Pietrus Produce and Haas Press. She was a charter member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
