   Sara Beran, 81, of Redwood Fall,s died Wednesday, Sept, 4, 2002, at Wood Dale Nursing Home.
   Arrangements are pending with Nelson-Martin Funeral Service of Redwood falls.

   Carol J. Kruggell, 57 of Winthrop, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002, at Hutchinson Community Hospital.
   Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop with burial in the Winthrop Cemetery.
   Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday and continues 9:30-11 a.m. Friday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Winthrop. There will be a rosary at 6 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
   Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop is handling the arrangements.
   She is survived by her husband, James Kruggel of Winthrop; children, Joe Kruggel of Victoria, Jacki Kruggel of Winthrop, Brad Kruggel of Winthrop, Kim Schauer of Winthrop, Jamie Kruggel of Winthrop, and Shawn Kruggel of Winthrop; five grandchildren; brothers, Robert Brand of New Ulm, Kenneth Brand of Glenview, Ill., Donald Brand of New Ulm, Marvin Brand of Plymouth, and David Brand of New Ulm; and sisters, Phyllis Schmitz of New Ulm, Marlys Drill of New Ulm, Joleen Jorgensen of New Ulm, LaDonna Kissner of St. Cloud, and Doris Guemmer of St. Cloud.
   Carol Jean (Brand) Kruggel was born Dec. 22, 1944, in New Ulm to Joseph and Sophia (Kuehn) Brand.

   Richard E. Rogotzke, 63, of Sanborn, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2002 at his home.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Zion Lutheran Church, Sanborn with burial in Sanborn City Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Friday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield and Friday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
   He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Sanborn; children, Erwin of Rapid City, S.D., Bradley of Sioux Falls, S.D. Michael and Rodney, both of Sanborn; his mother, Myrtle of Lamberton; five grandchildren; brothers, Robert of Fairfax and Albert of Sanborn; sisters, Betty Ann Kurth of Hutchinson and Mary Jane Rogotzke of Bloomington.
   He was born Feb. 27, 1939 to Albert and Myrtle (Klasnya) Rogotzke near Sanborn.
   He served five years in the Army National Guard.
