   Douglas R. Oakland, 48, of rural Winthrop died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at his residence.
   Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop, with burial in the Winthrop Cemetery.
   Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and continues at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services at the funeral chapel.
   He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Joyce and Bill Ittel of Winthrop; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Renee Oakland of Winthrop; niece and nephews; two aunts, including Viola Frank of Winthrop.
   He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford "Oakie" Oakland; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius White of Glencoe and Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Anderson of Winthrop.
   He was born on Dec. 19, 1950, in New Ulm, to Clifford and Joyce (White) Oakland. He graduated from Winthrop High School in 1968. He continued his education at Winona Tech and became a surveyor. He was employed at numerous jobs, and his last employment was at Hands Inc. in Winthrop. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Winthrop.
   In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to either mental health or chemical of dependency programs.

   DeLores 'Lotty' Schnobrich, 78, of Bloomington and formerly of the Lafayette and New Ulm areas, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park.
   Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm. There will be no visitation or reviewal. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is handling arrangements.
   She is survived by her husband, Dennis Schnobrich of Bloomington; daughter and son-in-law, Charyl and Paul Braun of Pasadena, Calif.; sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Cheryl Schnobrich of St. Louis Park, and William and Blanca Schnobrich of Pasadena, Calif.; son, James Schnobrich of San Francisco,calif.; grandchildren, Kip Braun, and Alexis, Camille, and Selby Schnobrich.
   She was preceded in death by her parents and one son in infancy.
   She was born March 19, 1921 in Lafayette to Hilding and Minnie (Saffert) Swenson. She attended grade school in Lafayette and graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School in New Ulm in 1939. She then attended two years of business college in Minneapolis. On Dec. 1, 1945 she married Dennis Schnobrich at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. They lived for a short time in Lafayette and Richfield before moving to New Ulm in the late 1940s. She worked as a bookkeeper for Northwest Airlines in Minneapolis and Peter's Meats and Pinks Clothing both in New Ulm. In 1973 they moved to Bloomington, and she worked as a business and accounting "employee trainer" for Target stores when they expanded to the West Coast. She was a member of St. Edward's Catholic Church in Bloomington and a past member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. While living in New Ulm she was active with the Loretto Hospital Auxiliary and many other community organizations.
   In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to New Ulm Area Catholic Schools (NUACS).

   Carroll E. Moore, 66, of rural Green Isle died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, at his home.
    Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Green Isle with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8:30 p.m. today at Fenske Funeral Home in Arlington and continues 9:30-11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Brendan Catholic Church. Parish prayers will be held 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
   He is survived by his wife, Betty of Green Isle; sons, Jerry Moore of Arlington, Richard and his wife Wendy Wyant-Moore of North Mankato; daughters Rose Kuenzel and special friend Al Maki of Young America, Carol Lee and husband Duane Hacker of Lafayette, Jean and husband Allan Bening of Arlington, Jo and husband Jeff Liebhard of Belle Plaine; son-in-law, Randy Kuenzel of Hamburg; mother, Elizabeth Moore of Columbus, Neb.; brothers, Joseph and wife Rosemary of Columbus, Paul of Cedar Rapids, Donald and wife Sharon of Columbus, Neb., Fritz and wife Judy of Boulder, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; many relatives and friends.
   He was preceded in death by his father, Ilo; grandson, Jordon Liebhard; brother, Anthony; sister, Mary Elizabeth; and sisters-in-law, Rose and Marge.
   He was born in Cedar Rapids, Neb., on Aug. 12, 1933, to Ilo and Elizabeth (Yilk) Moore. He graduated from Cedar Rapids High School in 1951. He married Betty Kretz on June 28, 1955 in Columbus, Neb. He entered the Army on June 12, 1956 where he served as SP4 Corporal Specialist Third Class at Fort Lewis, Wash. He was discharged March 17, 1958. He worked at Waconia Manufacturing as an experimental mechanic for 21 years. In 1984, he began work at Farmhand Manufacturing as a layout technician.
   

   Mary Karl, 47, of Rochester and formerly of New Ulm, died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at Seasons Hospice in Rochester following a three-year illness with cancer.
   Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ranfranz Funeral Home in Rochester with visitation one-half hour before services at the funeral home.
   Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, New Ulm, with burial in the city cemetery.
   Visitation is 9:15-10:15 a.m. Thursday at Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm.

   Arra F. Madsen, 97, formerly of New Ulm, died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at Good Samaritan Village Nursing Home in Sioux Falls, S.D.
   Funeral service is tentatively set for 1 p.m. Thursday at the United Church of Christ in New Ulm with burial in the city cemetery.
   Visitation is tentatively set for 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 7:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and will continue for one hour before the service Thursday at the church.

   Meta Crouch, 94, of Sleepy Eye, died Monday, Sept. 6, 1999, at the Sleepy Eye Municipal Hospital.
   Services are pending with Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye.
