Services will be Monday, September 16, 2002, at 1:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Ron Freimark officiating. Internment will be at Home Cemetery, Sleepy Eye, MN. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2002, at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye, MN. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the time of the service at the church. Henrietta was born March 8, 1925, to Roelf and Jeradine (Tamneus) Meyer in Freeport, IL. Henrietta was born a twin with Hilda. She attended country school Dist. 435 in Noble Co. near Fulda, MN. Henrietta kept home for a family in Fulda until her marriage to Donald Haase on February 9, 1947. Henrietta and Don made their home on a farm near Hadley, MN, until moving to Sleepy Eye in 1961. She worked as a cook for various business before starting with the Sleepy Eye Public School in 1973. Henrietta retired from the public school in 1993 and then worked as the Manager for the Senior Dining at Ross Park Apartments in Sleepy Eye. She enjoyed cooking, baking pies, and gardening, Henrietta was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye and served on the Alter Gild for many years. She is survived by her husband Donald Haase of Sleepy Eye, MN; 4 children, Carol and her husband Delbert Hillesheim of Sleepy Eye, Dixie and her husband Thomas Kluver of Bloomington, MN, Linda and her husband Casper Tiedeken of New Ulm, MN, and Donna and her husband Jon Medin of Parker, CO; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and 5 brothers and sisters. She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 grandchild, 1 great grandchild, and 3 brothers and sisters. Dorothy Kea, 79, of Redwood Falls, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2002 at her home. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, 2002, at Redwood Valley Funeral Home and Friday at the church, one hour prior to the service. A private family burial will take place at a later date. She is survived by her husband Clement; children Kathleen of Mankato, Susan Morris of Redwood Falls, Paul of Mesquite, Texas; Caroline Little of St. Paul, William of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Fred of Sanborn; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was born Dec. 1, 1922 in New Ulm, to Fred and Alma (Joseph) Rochlitz. She enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in communications in Pensacola, Fla. Audrey Plotz, 64, of Redwood Falls, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at Redwood Area Hospital. Arrangements are pending with the Nelson-Martin Funeral Service, Redwood Falls. Cecelia Goltz, 94, formerly of Darfur and St. James, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002 at St. John's Lutheran Home in Springfield. Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home in Comfrey. Helen Rettmann, 89, of Buffalo, formerly of Hutchinson and Winthrop, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002 at the Ebenezer Covenant Home in Buffalo. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bismarck Township with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday at the church, two hours prior to the service. A complete obituary will be published later in The Journal.
