   Gale Arthur Beltz, 70, of 38 East Mill Road in Gibbon died Thursday, September 23, 1999 at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon with burial in the church cemetery in Gibbon.
   Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Sunday at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon, and one hour
   prior to the service at the church. Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon is in charge of the arrangements.
   He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Pam Beltz of Brooklyn Park, Jackie and Danny Herschman of Las Vegas, Nev., Tammie and Brian Wise of Walker, and Sherrie and Randy Schwecke of Gibbon; sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy and Jeri Beltz of Apple Valley, Mike and Jennifer Beltz of East Bethel; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Carol Beltz of Glencoe, Lowell and Delores Beltz of South St. Paul, Bob and Nita Beltz of Wichita, Kan., and Ron and Nancy Beltz of Chaska; step-mother Mickey Beltz of Glencoe.
   He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Russell, Jim, and Warren Beltz.
   He was born on March 14, 1929 in Glencoe to Lester and Matie (Schroeder) Beltz. He attended and graduated from Glencoe High School. He served as a corporal in the United States Army. He later moved to Gibbon and lived there for over 45 years, where he managed Goodman's Produce for a number of years and then owned and operated Gale's Apolstery where he recoverd furniture. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gibbon.

   Allan Wayne Zimmerman, 64 of Redwood Falls died Thursday, Sept.ember 23, 1999 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale.
   Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Church of Christ in Redwood Falls.
   Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   He is survived by his wife Elsie of Redwood Falls; daughter Lisa Doherty and husband Tracy of Urbandale, Iowa; son Thomas Zimmerman and wife Sherri of Windom; seven grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Pauline Peterson of Minneapolis, Melvin (Pete) Zimmerman and wife Darlene of Minneota, Lois Keltner of Sauk Rapids, Elaine Schlenner and husband Alvin of Montevideo, Donald Zimmerman and wife Darlene of Red Wing, Gene Zimmerman and wife Leanne of Delano, Joyce Coulter of Maynard, Cheryl Cherryhomes and husband Chris of Minneapolis and Ruth Bergner of Maynard and many nieces and nephews.
   He is preceded in death by his parents and brohers Arlo, Harvey, Charles (Chet) and Bobby Zimmerman.
   He was born March 22, 1935 in Dawson, to Thomas and Isabel (Kenyon) Zimmerman. He attended Maynard schools graduating from Maynard High School in 1953. He served in the Marines in Korea as a sharpshooter and was discharged in 1956. On Dec. 5, 1959 he was united in marriage to Elsie Harbo in Tracy. He operated Zimm's Gas station prior to becoming a meat cutter. They moved to Redwood Fallswhere he was a meat manager for 30 years first at Jerry's Fairway and then at Tersteeg's until 1997 when he went to work for Culligan. In 1999 he semi-retired and started driving school bus for Redwood Falls Schools. He was a member of the Church of Christ, active as an elder, serving as their chairman, deacon, a Sunday School teacher, a youth sponsor and for several years led a Bible study group. He was also a member of Promise Keepers. He had been coach for Little League and Pony League and assistant coach for VFW baseball.

   Helen Engeswick Knudson, 94 of Winona, formerly of Lamberton, died Thursday, September 23, 1999 at the Sauer Memorial Home in Winona.
   Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton with burial in the Old Westbrook Lutheran Cemetery in Westbrook.
   Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-9 a.m. Tuesday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
