Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Raph-ael's Catholic Church, Springfield, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield. There will be a St. Anne's C.C.W. Rosary at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield on Monday. She is survived by her children Donald and Pearl Marso of Grand Junction, Colo., Marian and Robert Vogel of Footville, Wis., and Harry and Virginia Marso of St. Cloud; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and her sisters-in-law Lillian Koch of Taunton, and Grace Koch of Porter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe in 1983 and brothers George and Charles. She was born Dec. 25, 1915, in Canby to Harry and Elizabeth (Klein) Koch. She grew up and attended school in the Canby area, graduating from high school in 1935. She married Joseph Marso on Sept. 28, 1936 in Canby and they farmed near St. Leo following their marriage until 1942. They also farmed in Burr, Madison and Willow Lake, SD. The couple resided in Sleepy Eye before moving to Springfield in 1953. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and St. Anne's C.C.W. in Springfield. Herbert 'Slim' Myrom, 85, of Redwood Falls, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with burial in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and continue from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at the Nelson Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. He is survived by two children Gary and Sally Myrom of Redwood Falls, and Jean Ramsel of Sterling, Colo.; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Russell and Mildred Myrom of San Marcos, Calif., and Allen and Wanda Myrom of Albert Lea. He was preceded in death by a son Larry; a brother Carl; and a sister Mary. He was born Sept. 17, 1999, in Fulton, Iowa to Casper and Emma (Elkins) Myrom. He moved with his family to Cambridge and attended Cambridge Schools graduating in 1932. He served as mechanic in the United States Army in North Africa and South Italy from June of 1942 to October of 1945. He was married in 1958 and was later in divorced. He lived in Olivia a short time before moving to Redwood Falls in the late 1940's. He was an auto mechanic and shop foreman in Redwood Falls working for Tripp Oil Co. for 30 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion in Redwood Falls. Helen Carlyle Knudson, 94, of Winona, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, in Winona. Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton with burial at the Old Westbrook Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday and 7:30-9 a.m. Tuesday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly and Gordon Samp of Shingle Springs, Calif., Carol and Duane Jackels of Winona, a step-daughter Mary and husband Burt Danielson of Hudson, Wis.; a step-son David Knudson of Seattle, Wash.; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, husband Alfred; brother Ed Nichol and sisters Elva Crothers, Jessie Sawyer and Ella Baum. She was born Sept. 30, 1904, in Redwood County, to Charles and Nellie (Willard) Nichols. She graduated from Lamberton High School and attended Normal Training. After receiving her teaching certificate she taught in rural schools in the Lamberton area. On Feb. 15, 1928 she married Raymond Engeswick, and they made their home in the Westbrook area for 34 years. After Raymond's death in 1962, she spent time with her daughters in Winona, Shingle Springs, Calif., and Mesa, Ariz. In 1966 she married Alfred Knudson in Jewell, Iowa, where the couple made their home. After Alfred's death in 1985 she moved to the Valley View Apartments in Lamberton. She was active in the Old Westbrook Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School there for many years. She was also involved in the 4-H Club and the Glad Garden Club. Ronald 'Rollie' Pfaff, 56, of Fairfax, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, as the result of an automobile accident. Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1999, at 10:30 a.m. from St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. and a rosary at 7 p.m. from St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. Nelson Funeral Home of Redwood Falls is handling the arrangements. He is survived by his mother Doris Wilson of Fairfax, three brothers, John and Sharalyn Pfaff of Rogers, Bruce and Colleen Pfaff of New Ulm, Terry Pfaff of St. Paul and two sisters Kathy and Gene Schroeder of Fairfax and Mary and John Steinbach of Redwood Falls. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and three step-sisters Barbara and Arnold Johnson, Peggy and Tom Barrow and Nola and Rollie, all of Washington. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond, step-father John Wilson and a niece Janis Schroeder. Clara Lindeman, 86, of Stewart, died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, at the Glencoe Area Health Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at the Hughes Funeral Home in Stewart and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church Wednesday. Amber Nicole Schnurrer-Deters, six month old infant daughter of Cory Schnurrer and Melissa Deters, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at the Children's Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm.
