Eleanora Jutz , 91, of Gibbon died Monday, Sept. 27, 2004, at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Care Center in Winthrop. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 30, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 9-11 a.m., Thursday at the church. The Minnesota Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Eleanora is survived by her daughter, Linda Fierst of New Ulm; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dale Jutz of Lafayette; grandchildren, Bret Borchardt and his wife, Heidi of Burnsville, Jeffrey Jutz stationed at Great Lakes, Illinois, Ashley Jutz at home; great-grandsons, Cole Borchardt and Cade Borchardt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Jutz on Jan. 28, 1980; sisters, Clara Petersen, Adeline Bertelsen, Mary Schneider, Kate Mayer; and brothers, Andrew Mayer, Arthur Mayer and Henry Mayer. Eleanora K. Mayer was born on Oct. 4, 1912, in Moltke Township, Sibley County, to Henry and Louise (Eckert) Mayer. On Oct. 4, 1939, she married Joseph Jutz at St. Willibrord's Catholic Church in Gibbon. After marriage they farmed in West Newton Township, Nicollet County. In 1960 they retired but continued to live on the farm. Eleanora enjoyed gardening and raising flowers. She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette and was a member of the Altar Society at church. Lucille Sellner , 88, of Sleepy Eye, died Monday, Sept, 27, 2004, at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye, Service is 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 30, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Clergy will be Fr. Brian Oestreich. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, and 7:30-10 a.m., Thursday, at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye There will be a Christian Mothers/Catholic Aid rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home on Wednesday. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family via www.sturmfh.com. Lucille was born on Sept. 1, 1916, in Mulligan Township to daughter of William and Bertha (Zwaschka) Schroepfer. She married Edmund H. Sellner on June 29, 1937, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple made their home in Stark Township where they farmed for 40 years until retiring in 1977 and then moved to Sleepy Eye. She had been a resident at Divine Providence since April of 1995. Lucille enjoyed her family, her many flowers, crocheting, embroidering and quilting. She was very active in volunteer work and loved playing cards. Lucille was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, CCW, Catholic Aid, Christian Mothers and Divine Providence Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Janet and Jim Braun of Annandale, Myra and Scott Simon of Sleepy Eye, Rosie and Mike Zeig of Sleepy Eye, eight grandchildren and their spouses, Pete and Jenny Braun, Holly and Harv Geislinger, Jared Braun, Shannon Zeig, Melissa and Dallas Tebben, Stacy and Ryan Zarn, Mark Simon, Daniel Simon; five great-grandchildren; Brent, Madison and Courtney Geislinger, Melanie and Dominick Braun; brothers in-law and sisters in-law and their spouses, Joan and Dale Abrahamson of Sleepy Eye, Sally Schroepfer of Searles, Clement and Dorothy Sellner of Sleepy Eye, Clara Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye, Angie Weber of New Ulm, Ann Hacker of Lafayette, Florence Sellner of Sleepy Eye and Harold Johnson of Madelia. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edmund in 1999; brothers, Linus and Gerald T. Schroepfer; and sisters, Marcella Mathiowetz and Mildred Groebner. Everett Stolte , 95, of New Ulm, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm. Arrangements are pending with Schmucker Funeral Service in New Ulm.
