Medical Center in Minneapolis Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Hanska with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Firle Funeral Home in Hanska and one hour prior to services at the church. A full obituary will appear in Thursday's edition. Darold O. (Pedro) Pederson, 76, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 1999, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Jacobson Funeral Home in Walnut Grove and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. He is survived by his brother, Gordon Pederson of Walnut Grove; sisters, Virene Baack of Tracy and Bernice Wornson of Mankato, and seven nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers,Lester and Myron. He was born Feb. 11, 1923, on the family farm to Iver and Lena (Johnson) Pederson. He attended Walnut Grove School where he graduated in 1941. He farmed with his father and brothers on the home place until he entered the United States Army during World War II. He served in France. He returned to Walnut Grove after the war and continued to farm with his brothers until ill health forced his to rent out the farm. He was a member of the Walnut Grove American Legion Post and St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Ann Township, Cottonwood County. Regina Vonderharr, 88, of Madison, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999 at the Madison Lutheran Home. Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church of Madison. Visitation will be this afternoon and evening with an evening prayer service at Zahrbock Funeral Home in Madison She is survived by her sons, Bernard and wife Tress Vonderharr of Madison, Ronald and wife Diane Vonderharr of New Ulm, LeRoy and wife Bernie Vonderharr of Effie, Eugene and wife Sheila Vonderharr of Bakersfield, Calif., Fred Vonderharr of Madison; daughters, Sister Regina Vonderharr of St. Paul, Marlys and husband Dennis Schumacher of Springfield, Alverna and husband Louis Dahlheimer of Dayton and Lois Holmboe of Excelsior; 28 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred M. (Fritz); infant son, Kenneth; and brothers, George, John, Herbert, William, Peter, Ernest, Henry and Lawrence Tasto. She was born April 28, 1911 in rural Madison to Henry and Anna (Hammes) Tasto. She attended rural school and St. Michael's Catholic School. She married Fred M. Vonderharr on Feb. 8, 1933. They farmed in the Madison area for 37 years, retiring to Madison in 1969. She worked at the Madison Lutheran Home for 20 years. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Ladies' Aid, Catholic Order of Foresters, Catholic Aid and the Madison V.F.W. Auxiliary. Ethel Anderson, 90, of Franklin died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at the Franklin Healthcare Center. Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Swendlanda Lutheran Church in Palmyra Township, rural Hector. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Jerome J. Zschetzsche, 74, of rural Sleepy Eye died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at Sleepy Eye Municipal Hospital. Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Martha Penk, 86, of Stewart died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at Glencoe Area Health Center. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hughes Funeral Home in Stewart, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the Billy Graham Crusade.
