Dickmeyer, 94, of Fairfax, died Thursday, October 7, 1999 at the Fairfax Community Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew's Catholic Church n Fairfax with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 8 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Hauser-Hantge Funeral Chapel of Fairfax is handling the arrangements. Darwin Drill, 61, of Marshall, formerly of New Ulm, died Wednesday, October 6, 1999 at the Hennepin County Mecial Center in Minneapolis. Arrangements are pending with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. Wilhelm Remus, 80, of Gibbon died Friday, October 8, 1999 at the Glencoe Area Health Center in Glencoe. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in Gibbon. Robert Anthony Glasgow, 81, of St. James died Wednesday, October 6, 1999. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Childhood Catholic Church in St. Paul with burial in the Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation will be 2:30-5:30 p.m. Sunday at Sturm Funeral Home with Knights of Columbus and Christian Mothers' Rosery at 4 p.m. and parish prayer service at 5 p.m. There is visitation 4-7 p.m. Monday at Holcomb-Henry Funeral Home in St. Pau. He is survived by his wife Shirley; children John B. and wife JoAnne of Marshall, Robert R. and wife Susan Westra of St. Paul, Thomas and wife Nancy of Arlington, Texas, Donald A. of Shoreview, Paul E. and wife Nancy of St. Paul, Elizabeth Glasgow of East Bethel, C.Susan Tucker and husband Gerry of Richfield, Michael R. and wife Debora of White Bear Lake Twp.; 29 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; step-children: Jill Steinle and special friend Anthony Aragon, Lowel and wife Janice Steinle of Issaquah, Wash.; sisters: Frances Stewart of St. Paul, Catherine Amundson of Seattle, Wash.; Margaret and husband Pat Corcoran of St. Louis Park, Mary and husband Richard Woodcock of Salinas, Calif.; Mildred Hilken of Stockton, Calif.; brother-in-law Norman Thieling of Aurora; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faith, in 1965; daughter Judith Ann in 1949; parents; sister Elizabeth Spitzner; brothers John and Donald. He was born Feb. 11, 1918 in Worthington to John F. and Elizabeth C. (Ryan) Glasgow. His family moved to St. James in 1923, where he attended high school. He then worked for Banister engineering in St. Paul. In 1942, he entered the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska. as a surveyor. He married Faith Elizabeth Thieling on Nov. 29, 1947 in Wilton. They lived in Bemidji, Hazen, N.D., and Huron, S.D., before moving to St. Paul in 1952. He married Shirley Steinle in St. Paul on Sept. 19, 1969. After his retirement in 1983 they moved to St. James. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, VFW Post #1914 and the American Legion Post #33. Amanda Radke, 93, of New Ulm died Friday, October 8, 1999 at the Oak Hills Living Cneter in New Ulm. Funeral arrangerments are pending with the Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm. A complete obituary will appear in a later edition of The Journal.
