   Pamela Baker , 42, of Aitkin, formerly of Gaylord, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at her home.
   Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, with burial at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Gaylord.
   Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Thursday at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord, and will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Thursday.
   Pamela is survived by her parents Don and Sandra Schulte of Gaylord; husband Brant Baker of Aitkin; daughters, Cassandra Holtz of Brainerd, and Samantha Wibsted of Brainerd; stepdaughters, Rachael Baker of Aitkin, Stephanie Baker of Red Wing, and Jessica Faust of Pierz; sisters, Connie Kuphal of Glencoe, and Tanya Liebl of Big Lake; and two grandchildren.
   Pamela was born Feb. 4, 1961, to Donald and Sandra (Squier) Schulte in Gaylord. She served in the U.S. Army and received an honorable discharge in 1980.

   Ralph E. Gerasch , 79, of 904 S. Franklin St. in New Ulm, died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 16, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm, with Father Douglas Grams officiating. Private family burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
   Visitation will be 9 - 11 a.m. at the church on Thursday.
    Arrangements are with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. A complete obituary will be in Wednesday's edition.

   Gerald Grausam , 81, of Springfield, died on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.
   Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, with Father Dennis Labat officiating. Burial will be at St. Raphael's Catholic Cemetery in Springfield.
   Visitation will be 4:40 - 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 - 10 a.m. Thursday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. There will be a 7 p.m. Parish Prayer Service on Wednesday at the Sturm Funeral Home and a 10 a.m. K.C. Rosary on Thursday at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield.
   Gerald John Grausam was born May 10, 1922, in Burnstown Township, the son of John and Josephine (Turbes) Grausam. He attended country school and helped his father with the family farm. On Aug. 26, 1952, Jerry married Mary Griebel at the St. John Catholic Church in Searles. Jerry had farmed his home farm for more than 50 years when the couple moved into Springfield in 1999. He was a member of the St. Raphael's Catholic Church, where he was an usher for many years. Jerry was a K.C. member. He enjoyed farming, taking care of animals, his lawn and family.
   He is survived by his wife Mary Grausam of Springfield; two daughters, Ginny and husband Gary Norsten of Willmar, and Pattie and husband Steve Engel of Apple Valley; a son, Jack and wife Nancy Grausam of New Ulm; and grandchildren, Kristen Norsten, Justin and Jamie Engel, and Dustin and Amber Grausam.
   He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Engel; his parents; a brother, Vince; and sister, Cyrilla Schultz.

    Alvin F. Retzlaff , 84, of Greenwood Village, Colo., formerly of New Ulm, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, following a long battle with leukemia.
   Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003, at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Delano, with burial East Mt. Olive Cemetery in Delano. Arrangements are with the Iten Funeral Service in Delano.
   Al is survived by his mother Mary Retzlaff; son Michael Retzlaff; daughter Diana Efta; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
   Alvin F. Retzlaff was born July 27, 1919, to F.H. and Mary (Fuller) Retzlaff in New Ulm.
