Minnesota, New Ulm, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at New Ulm Medical Center. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lake Hanska Lutheran Church in Lake Hanska Township with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Firle Funeral Home in New Ulm and one hour before services at the church. He is survived by his wife, Terri Budahn of New Ulm; son, Andrew, daughter Danielle, of New Ulm; parents, Claude and Lucille Budahn of New Ulm; brother, Bruce Budahn and wife Lori of Cottage Grove; sister Diane Duffy and her husband Robert of Cottage Grove; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Warren and Shirley Brudelie of Hanska; brothers-in-law, Tim Brudelie of Hanska and special friend Diane Beyer of Mankato; Jon Brudelie of Hanska and special friend Betsy Domeier of Mankato; sister-in-law, Jackie Farasyn and Tom of New Ulm; aunts and uncles; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. He was born Oct. 18, 1960, in New Ulm, to Claude and Lucille (Dressen) Budahn. He graduated from New Ulm High School. He earned a B.S. degree in construction management from Mankato State University. He married Terri Brudelie on Sept. 14, 1984, at Lake Hanska Lutheran Church. The couple lived in rural Hanska for 10 years. They moved to New Ulm in 1994. He was a member of the New Ulm Country Club and Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. He coached several teams, including the New Ulm Junior Baseball Association, the New Ulm Hockey Association, the Pop Warner Football team in New Ulm, and the Hanska Baseball "peanuts" team. He served on the Junior Baseball Board in New Ulm. JoAnn Anderson , 68, of Sleepy Eye died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye with burial in the Prairieville Cemetery in Evan. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday 7:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and continues one hour before services at the church. She is survived by son, Eugene and wife Karen Hoffmann of Crosby, Texas; daughter, Cheryl Laughton and special friend Rory Paulson of Darwin; mother, Shirley Anderson of Sleepy Eye; grandchildren, Ashley and Jeffrey Hoffmann, Crystal, Kayla, Dana and Danielle Laughton; brothers, Jim and wife Yvonne Anderson of Faribault, Randy and wife Bonnie Anderson of Stewartville; several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Archie and aunt Phyllis Hansen. She was born on Nov. 6, 1930, to Archie and Shirley (Johnson) Anderson. She graduated from Sleepy Eye High School and attended Mankato State College for two years. She taught school for four years. She married Eugene Hoffmann in 1955. They lived on a farm between Cobden and Evan. In 1961 she and her children moved to Faribault where she worked at Faribault State School and Hospital. They then moved to Rochester where she worked for Methodist Hospital as a patient representative. In 1978 she moved to Houston, Texas, and worked as an admissions officer for St. Joseph's Hospital. She returned to Sleepy Eye in 1986. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye and had served for several years on the St. John Lutheran Home board in Springfield. Dennis Briest, 68, of rural Arlington, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1999, at Gaylord Lakeview Home. Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Gaylord. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday at Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord, and continues one hour before services at the church. Alma Alsleben, 89, of New Auburn, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999, at Arlington Good Samaritan Center. Arrangements are pending with Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord. Edwin J. Hahn, 91, of Gaylord, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 1999, at Gaylord Lakeview Home, Gaylord. Arrangements are pending with Egesdal Funeral Home, Gaylord.
