Online Obituaries Saturday, October 23, 1999 October obits by date  October obits by name September obits by date  September obits by name The Journal Online  Experience New Ulm!    Theresa Mary Sanders, 80, died Thursday, October 21, 1999 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.    Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, St. James.    Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Sunday at Sturm Funeral Home, St. James and one hour prior to the service at the church.    She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Karen and Milo Bjerke of Byron, Sandy Garrett of Litchfield Park, Ariz., Kathy and Larry Allen of Vernon Center, Linda and Brian Dempsey of St. James; son Scott Sanders and fiance Amy Ziemer of St. James. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; sister Frances Beck of St. James; sister-in-law, Sylvia Hoscheid of St. James; nieces and nephews.    She was preceded in death by her husband, William in 1988; her parents; brothers Frank and Joseph; sister-in-law Gertrude Hoscheid; brother-in-law Verne Beck.    She was born Feb. 14, 1919 in St. James Township, Watonwan County to John and Elizabeth (Sandmeyer) Hoscheid. She attended District 22 country school in Nelson Township and was later employed at several places in and around St. James. On Feb. 15,1942 she married William Sanders in Mankato. They lived in Long Lake Township, where they farmed for several years. In 1959, they moved to St. James. She worked at Tony Downs Foods, where she was on the production line for over 36 years until retiring in 1993.
