Online Obituaries Friday, Oct. 25, 2002 2002 obituaries    2001 obituaries 2000 obituaries    1999 obituaries The Journal Online   Experience New Ulm Click here for today's obituaries     Larry Frauendienst, 50, of rural Gayord, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at Sibley Medical Center in Arlington.    Services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Auburn with burial in the High Island Cemtery in New Auburn.    Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Monday and 7:30-8:30 a.m., Tuesday at Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord and continues one hour before services at the church.    Ivan Aspelund , 70, of St. James, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2002, at Lake Crystal Health Care Center.    Services are 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Albion Lutheran Church in St. James, with burial in the church cemetery.    Visitation is 4 - 8 p.m. Friday and 7:30 - 11 a.m. Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service at the church on Saturday.    Ivan is survived by his wife Ardella of St. James; son Ronald Aspelund of Hanska; daughters, Kim Petterson of Lakefield, and Patti Nommensen of St. James; five grandchildren; brothers, Elmo Aspelund of St. James, and Verdell Aspelund of Madelia; and sisters, Delores Joramo of Hanska, Ives Wilson of New Ulm, and Marjorie Peterson of Burnsville.    Ivan Roland Aspelund was born April 24, 1932, to Seth and Julia (Shellum) Aspelund in Albin Township, Brown County.    \He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, from May 12, 1953 to May 4, 1955.
