Lucille Bieraugel, 90, of Ashby, formerly of New Ulm, died Thursday, October 28, at Pelican Lake Nursing Home In Ashby. Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church In New Ulm, with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church. The Catholic Aid Council will recite the rosary at 10:15 a.m. Saturday at the church. Firle Funeral Home of New Ulm is handling the arrangements. She is surived by a sister, Arlene Buck of Spring Lake Park; brothers, Marvin Brust and his wife Naomi of Wadena, Norman Brust and his wife Helen of New Ulm; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; four brothers and three sisters. She was born June 28, 1909, in New Ulm, to Fred and Anna (Sellner) Brust. She married Alfred Bieraugel on July 8, 1929, in New Ulm. They lived many years in Hot Springs, Ark., where she did clerical work for St. Joseph's Hospital and also worked for the post office. She moved to the Pelican Lake Nursing Home in Ashby in December 1991. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm and the Catholic Aid Council. Georgine Duerksen , 59, of Windom died Wednesday, October 27, 1999, at her home. Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom with burial in the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Windom. Visitation is 5-8:30p.m. today at Anderson-Schmidt Funeral Home in Windom, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. She is survived by her husband, Milton of Delft; children and their spouses, Dale and Vickie Duerksen of Plymouth, Brenda and Chuck Behrends of Lakefield, Karen and Dan Porisch of Dodge Center, and Chad Duerksen of New Ulm; seven grandchildren; sisters, Darlene Olson of Mankato, Julie and her husband Ron Easterday of Hamilton, Ohio and Aldona Wacker of Madelia. She was born Feb. 21, 1940 in Watonwan County to Walter and Aldine (Nelson) Wacker. She graduated from St. James High School in 1958. On June 14, 1958, she married Ervin Duerksen in St. James. The family made their home in Delft. Ervin died of cancer on June 30, 1964. She married Milton (Tex) Duerksen on Dec. 26, 1965, at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Windom. She worked for five years at the Land-O-Lakes plant in Mt. Lake. She was an active member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior as a Sunday School teacher and in youth groups. She was also involved in Bible studies and the women's group. She was a member of the ARC and the Quilt Club. Edna Heim Blank, 99, of San Bernadino, Calif., died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999. Services were held Thursday in Pomona, Calif. She is survived by a daughter, Delores and her husband Joseph Calhoun of Oceanside, Calif.; sons, Clifford and wife Patty of Big Fork, Mont., and Jerry Russel and Lana of San Jose, Calif., and a sister, Hazel A. Heim of Courtland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto, in 1980; three children in infancy; son, Waldon; and daughters, Phyllis and Arleen. She was born March 15, 1900, on her parents' farm near Courtland to Augusta "Georgia" and Frederick William Heim. She attended District 41 school and graduated from Nicollet High School. In 1921 she married Otto Charles Blank of Nicollet at Bethany Evangelical Church in New Ulm. They lived on various farms in the Nicollet area, and near Judson, where they operated a gravel pit. In 1956 they moved to San Bernadino. Myra Hoeft, 85, of Madelia, died Wednesday, October 27, 1999, at Madelia Community Hospital. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church in Madelia with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Pilgrim Funeral Home in Madelia and continues one hour prior before the service Saturday at the church. She is survived by daughters, Patricia Fastenau of Chandler, Ariz., Nancy Andersen and husband Bill of Lake Crystal, and Jane Lawrence and husband Rick of Mission Viejo, Calif.; son Doug and wife Sherene of Oceanside, Calif., nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Luiken of Faribault, Robert Luiken of Lake Crystal, and Lyle Luiken of Weatherby, Miss.; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson, and infant daughter, seven sisters and one brother. She was born Aug. 29, 1914, in Antioch, Ill., to Nick and Susan (Radditz) Luiken and grew up in the Mankato and Crystal Lake areas. She graduated from Crystal Lake High School in 1932. She married Carl Hoeft on Dec. 10, 1938, at her home. They farmed in rural Madelia until 1961 when they moved to Madelia. She worked at Mankato State University in housekeeping until retiring in 1979. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, WELCA, church circles, and Madelia Garden Club. She volunteered at Lutheran Memorial Home in Madelia. Violet L. Hedine, 83, of Winthrop, died Wednesday, October 27, 1999, at Arlington Municipal Hospital. Services will be in mid-November at Peace Lutheran Church, Winthrop, with burial in the city cemetery. Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Winthrop is handling the arrangements. Robert Lane, 86, of Sanborn, died Thursday, October 28, 1999 at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital, Mankato. Arrangements are pending at Anderson-Schmidt Funeral Home, Windom.
