   Charles G. Domeier , 96, of Fairfax died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, at Fairfax Nursing Home.
   Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. today at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation will be one hour before the service on Monday.
   Hauser-Hantge Chapel handled arrangements.
   He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Mary Domeier of Redwood Falls, Larry and Sharon Domeier of Phoenix, Ariz., Raymond and Carol of Fairfax, Robert and Rose Domeier of Crystal; and daughters, Sister Renee Domeier of St. Joseph and Joan Steins and her husband, George of Duluth; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Rose Marlowe of Fairfax and Ceil Odom of Minneapolis.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rose; brothers, Frank, George, Robert, Louis, Joseph in infancy; sisters, Martha, Mary and Clara.
   He was born June 26, 1903, in Bandon Township, Renville County to Frank and Christina (Schroedl) Domeier. After finishing school, he worked as a hired man until 1928, when he married Rose Frassel at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax. The farmed. After retirement, he worked on the Mayflower Golf Course. He served on the creamery board, as a trustee of St. Andrew's Catholic Church for 11 years, and as financial secretary for St. Joseph's Aid Society.

   Maynard Firchau , 76, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Madelia Community Hospital.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church with burial in the Riverside Cemetery in Madelia.
   Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Pilgrim Funeral Home, Madelia and one hour preceding the service at the church.
   He is survived by his wife, Donna of Madelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Bernard Kunz of Madelia, Linda and Postel of New Ulm, Norma and Frank Henefield of Blooming Prairie, eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hildegard Sieg, Irma Krueger, and one brother , Rienhold Firchau.
   He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
   He was born March 8, 1923, to Albert and Caroline (Krause) Firchau, in South Branch Township. He attended South Branch Lutheran School. On Nov. 21, 1944, he married Donna Harris at the First Baptist Parsonage in Madelia. He entered active duty in the U.S. Army on Dec. 13, 1944 and served in Japan until his honorable discharge in November 1945. He was employed at M.B. Peterson for several years as a truck driver. He also worked for Gopher Concrete and later as an independent carpenter until his retirement in 1995.
   He was a member of the American Legion Lewisville and the VFW in Madelia.

   Clarence Tarter , 90, of Westbrook, formerly of Jeffers, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Amo United Methodist Church, Storden, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Anderson-Schmidt Funeral Home, Jefferson. and continues 9-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Amo United Methodist Church, rural Storden.
    A Masonic service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

   Walter L. Kasch , 86, of St. James died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in St. James.
   Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pease Funeral Home in St. James with burial with military honors at Mt. Hope Cemetery in St. James.
   Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
   He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Carolin and John Petterborg of St. James, Connie and Ivan Groff of New Ulm, three granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; sister, Alvina Keenan of Mankato and many nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn in 1972; an infant son; brother, William and three infant brothers and sisters Ida, Lena, Sofie, Jeanette and Doris.
   He was born on Oct. 20, 1913, in South Branch Township, Watonwan County, to Fred and Carrie (Hecht) Kasch. He attended school in South Branch. He worked with his father in the well digging business for several years and then as a mechanic at the John Deere dealership in St. James. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1942-1946 as an airplane engine mechanic. He married Evelyn Orr on Dec. 23, 1946, in Mankato. After his military service he returned to work at the John Deere dealership in St. James, where he worked for more than 43 years.
   After his retirement in 1975 he worked as a handy man for Nelson Ford in St. James until it closed. He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in St. James until it closed and a member of the St. James American Legion. He had been a resident of the Pleasant View Nursing Home since 1995.
