   George Freeman, 92, of Springfield, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 199, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
   Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield.

   Edwin Kaseforth, 82, of Springfield, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999 at Springfield Medical Center.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Springfield, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield, and will continue one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.
   He is survived by his wife Ruth; daughters, Marsha and husband Charles Schmidt of Springfield and Donna and husband Clyde Schmidt of Springfield; son John and wife Roseann of Springfield; four grandchildren; brother Ervin and wife Helen of Springfield; sisters, Viola Johansen of Montevideo, Elizabeth Hansen of Spicer, Cleona and husband D.C. Bliss of Seaforth, and Lillian and husband Alvin Schiller of New Ulm; and nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in-law, Stanley Hansen and Delmar Johansen.
   He was born Oct. 8, 1917, on in Stately Township. He was a farmer, moving to Springfield in 1984. He attended Dotson Rural School District No. 88. He married Ruth Ohlemann on Sept. 20, 1947, in Minneapolis. He was on the board of directors for the Springfield Elevator, ASCS office and Stark Farmers Mutual Insurance Agency, Sleepy Eye. He was an insurance representative with Stark Farmers and North Star Mutual Insurance companies. he was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Springfield.

   Charles Kuebler, 58, of Sleepy Eye, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Sleepy Eye Hospital.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-10 a.m. Tuesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a Knights of Columbus rosary at 5 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
   He is survived by his wife Margaret "Maggie"; daughters, Laura and husband Ron Horman of Clements and Lisa and husband Denis Berdan of New Ulm; sons, Brian and wife Lisa of Lake Crystal and Dan and fiancee Amanda Braun of Lake Crystal; five grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice and husband Milton Witt of W. St. Paul, Janet and husband Gilbert Hillesheim of New Ulm and Kathy and husband Frank Vogel of Sanborn; brothers, George and wife Esther of Arlington, John and wife Delores of St. James and Glen of Sleepy Eye; aunt Anna Weicherding; and uncle Max Hoffmann.
   He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Doris Sellner.
   He was born Aug. 15, 1941, in rural Springfield to George and Mathilda (Hoffmann) Kuebler. He attended country school and Sleepy Eye Public School. He married Margaret "Maggie" Schreiner on April 8, 1967, in Sleepy Eye. He worked at the Westside Garage, Brown County Co-op and the City Of Sleepy Eye, where he was in the water department. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the New Ulm Area Sport Fishermen, the N.R.A., and was a past member of the Sleepy Eye Fire Department.

   Adele Harjes, 87, of Green Isle, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Waconia Ridgeview Medical Center.
   Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Green Isle, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church. There will be prayer service 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
   Fenske Funeral Home, Arlington, is in charge of arrangements.
   She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, William and Dorothea, Roger and Holly and Robert and Kathleen, all of Green Isle; sisters and brothers-in-laww, Gertrude "Trudy" Oelfke, and Viola "Vi" Olson, all of Florida, Marie "Maryl" Klotz of Waconia and Elizabeth "Betty" and Edgar Spletzer of Henderson; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.

   Robert Sperling, 60, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at Stewart Memorial Hospital, Lake City.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Lake City, with burial in the City Cemetery.
   Visitation is after 4 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 8 p.m., at Lampe Funeral Home, Lake City.
   Survivors include his wife Meridith; daughters, Cynthia and husband Steve Winslow of Eatonville, Wash., Sandra and husband Dennis Schute of Tonasket, Wash., Rebecca and husband John Zenkovich of Birnamwood, Wisc., and Sharon and husband John King of Parkville, Mo.; son, Randall and wife Marie of New Ulm; six grandchildren; brother John of Edwardsville, Ill.; and sister, Katherine Kutz of Fort Atkinson, Wisc.
   He was preceded in death by his parents.
   He was born Aug. 9, 1939, in New Ulm, to Ernst and Lydia (Winter) Sperling. He graduated from Dr. Martin Luther High School in 1957 and attended college for two years. He married Meridith Blanchard on March 4, 1960, in Winona. They have lived in Lake City for the past 14 years. He was a voicer for the Dobson Pipe Organ builders in Lake City. He was active in the Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Lake City, as a church organist and choir director.

   Roland "Benny" Thiede, 74, of New Ulm, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999, at Oak Hills Living Center, New Ulm.
   Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, New Ulm, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Firle Funeral Home, New Ulm, and will continue one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

   Bernard Leiferman, 78, of Walnut Grove, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, at the Vets Hospital, Saint Cloud.
   Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at English Lutheran Church, Walnut Grove.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the church, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
   Jacobsen Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
   He is survived by his wife Algene; son Alan of Owatonna; daughter Sheryl and husband Tom Holmes of Janesville; grandsons, Nathan and Nicholas Leiferman and Evan and Greg Holmes; brother Aloysius of Mapleton; and nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gale; one brother; and five sisters.
   He was born Sept, 6, 1921, in Beauford Township, Blue Earth County, to George and Anna (Samuelson) Leiferman. The family lived in the Mapleton area. In May 1942 he entered the U.S. Arm. He served in the European Theatre. he was discharged Nov. 3, 1945 and went to work for Solie Sales and Frank Brothers Elevator. He married Algene Hanson on June 9, 1947 in Westbrook. They lived in Mapleton until March 1950, when they moved to the Walnut Grove area, where they farmed. He was a DeKalb seed salesman since 1960. He was a member of English Lutheran Church, Walnut Grove, the Lions Club, Walnut Grove, and V.F.W., Tracy.

   Lenora Renneke, 89, of Redwood Falls, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999 at Redwood Falls Hospital.
   Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls, with burial in the city cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m.today and 8:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls, and will continue at the church one hour prior to services Tuesday.
   She is survived by stepdaughters, June Frohrip and husband Lester of Tulsa, Okla., Lois Agather of Fargo, N.D., and Fern Schmiesing and husband Russell of Tracy; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Agnes Fick of Blue Earth and Lila Schaffran and husband Harvey of Lamberton; and nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister Candace.
   She was born March 10, 1910, in North Hero Township, Redwood County, near Revere, to Edward and Clara (Evenson) Fick. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Revere. She worked as a housekeeper and began taking care of her father in 1936. She married Ezra Renneke on June 19, 1948 in Revere. They farmed in Posen Township near Echo. In May 1984 they moved to Redwood Falls. She was a member of Revere Lutheran Church, Peace Lutheran Church, Echo, and St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Redwood Falls.
