Minnesota St. in New Ulm, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm. Services are 11 a.m. Nov. 27 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm, with burial in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm. Visitation is 3-7 p.m. Nov. 26 and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Nov 27 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm, and one hour prior to services at the church. Services are being delayed due to the arrival of family from overseas. A complete obituary will appear in a later edition of The Journal. Ray L. Hippert, 85, of Waconia, formerly of Chippewa Falls, Wis., and New Ulm, died Nov. 15, 2001, at Auburn West in Waconia. Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waconia, with burial in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is 2 - 5 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia and one hour prior to mass at the church. He is survived by his wife, Hildreth (Bianchi) Hippert of Waconia; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Larry Sharratt of Waconia, Carol Zehnder and special friend Frank Nitti of Bloomington, and Becky and Al Schierman of Moorhead; son-in-law , Jerry Perkovich of Brooklyn, Wis.; brothers and sister-in-law, Waldo and Lucy Hippert of Chippewa Falls, Wis., and Morris Hippert of New Ulm; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lorraine and Ray Bode of Courtland, Doris Macho of Mankato, Alice and Delbert Lambrecht of New Ulm, and Rosalie and Jeff Butcher of Louisville, Ky.; sisters-in-law, Diane Hippert of New Ulm, and Mariane and husband Calvin Smith of Dover; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by daughter, Michele Perkovich; parents, Lawrence and Elsie Hippert; and brothers Harvey and Warren Hippert. He was born May 1, 1916 in New Ulm. Elmer Ranzau, 90, of Gaylord, died Nov. 15, 2001, at the Gaylord Lakeview Home in Gaylord. Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Gaylord, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is 4 - 8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. Monday at the Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord and one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are pending with Egesdal Funeral Home in Gaylord. A complete obituary will appear in a later edition. Lloyd Buboltz, 75, of Buffalo Lake, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at Renville county Hopsital, in Olivia. Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran church in Buffalo Lake. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the church in Buffalo Lake; and continues one hour before the service. Arrangements are handled by Hughes Funeral Home. Tom Tyson, 89, of Redwood Falls, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2001, at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care center in Redwood Falls. Services are pending with Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls.
