   Adeline Stark, 83, of 300 N. Broadway, in New Ulm died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, at her home.
    Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in New Ulm with burial in Zion Evangelical Methodist Cemetery in Buffalo Lake.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm; and continues one hour before the service Thursday at the church.
   She is survived by, daughter, Carolyn Steinbach of New Ulm; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat- grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; son-in-law, Willard Kokesch of New Ulm; sisters and brother in law, Christina Dettmann of Stewart, Sylvia Mielke, Marvel and Melvin Meyer all of Hutchinson.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry Stark on Jan. 27, 1971; daughter, Jean Kokesch on March 24, 1992; a brother in infancy; and sister, Esther Bethke.
   She was born Sept. 21, 1916, in Grafton Township, Sibley County, to Henry and Clara (Patzold) Schultz. She attended Grafton Township Country School. She married Harry Stark on Sept. 1, 1936, at United Methodist Church in Buffalo Lake. They farmed in rural Gibbon. She moved into New Ulm in July of 1971. She worked at the Sioux Valley Hospital and the Glockenspiel Haus. She was a member of First United Methodist Church , Golden Age Club, and a former 4-H leader in Sibley County.

   Mary A. Schaffer-Truman, 58 of Sherburn, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999 at Fairmont Community Hospital.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Sherburn with burial in the Elm Creek Cemetery.
   Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Sherburn and continues one hour prior to the service at the church.
   She is survived by her husband, Robert Truman of Sherburn; daughter, Lori Johnson and husband Ted of Fairmont; sons, Keith Schaffer and wife Christine of Faribault, Joseph Schaffer of rural Sherburn; grandchildren: Norah and Nicole Groshens and their father, Craig of Sherburn, and Ramsey Schaffer of Faribault; foster daughter, Tara Eisenmenger of Sherburn; sisters, Darlene Anderson and husband Larry of Fairmont, Dianne Adamson and husband Sterling of Trimont; brothers, Roger Flohrs and wife Eileen of Minnesota Lake, Lowell Flohrs and wife Elaine of Fairmont; mother-in-law, Helen Angst of St. James; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Norman Schaffer and other relatives.
   She was born Dec. 23, 1940, to Alvin and Dorothy (Schiller) Flohrs in St. James. She was a 1958 graduate of Trimont High School. She was employed by Tony Downs Foods in St. James. She married Norman Schaffer April 14, 1961 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Ormsby. They lived in Trimont until 1962 when they moved to a farm west of Sherburn. In 1963 they moved into Sherburn where she was employed as a cook and waitress for various cafes. She was employed at Seifert Drug Store in Sherburn for many years. In 1970 she began work at Spoery-Univac until it closed. Norman died Sept. 24, 1983. She married Robert Truman on June 21, 1997 at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Fairmont. She was employed at Fairmont Foods, COR in Sherburn and Kentucky Fried Chicken in Fairmont. Most recently she was employed at Fairmont Community Hospital. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Fairmont.

   Helen Larson , 83 of Hector, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at her home.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Swedlanda Lutheran Church in Palmyra Township with burial in the church cemetery.
    Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector and will continue one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
   She is survived by her daughters, Leila Larson of Edina, Lynette Emberland and her husband Wayne of Willmar, Carolyn Bargman of Hector; grandsons, Mark and Jon Emberland, Brady and Cale Bargman; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; brothers, Adry and Clyde; and sisters Dorothea Bjork, Laura Hubbard, and Marion Johnson.
   She was born Jan. 31, 1916, in Watertown to Emil and Carolina (Holmberg) Carlson. She grew up in the Watertown area and graduated from the Watertown High School. She received a teaching certificate from St. Cloud Teachers College. She taught several years in Renville County. She married Carl Ruben Larson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown on June 20, 1939. The couple farmed in Palmyra Township. They moved to Hector in 1976. Carl died in 1984. She was a member of Swedlanda Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, Jr. Mission leader, Dorcas leader, council member and WELCA member.
