   Gladys Koppi, 89, 1026 N. State St., New Ulm, died Monday, Nov. 22, 1999, at her home.
   Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Saturday at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery,
   Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday and 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home. Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Friday at the Cathedral. There will be a parish prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

   Eleanor Henle Furth, 102, of 420 S. Minnesota St., New Ulm, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at New Ulm Medical Center. She had recently been a resident at the Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.
   Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and continues 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
   She is survived by daughters, Marie Furth Miller and her husband Robert of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Kristin Neufeld of Castleton, Vt.; sons, Herb Furth and his wife Mary of Green Valley, Ariz., and Tom Furth and his wife Diane of San Diego, Calif.; 30 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Furth; sons, James and John Furth; grandson, Tony Miller; son-in-law, John Neufeld, and by several brothers and sisters.
   She was born on Sept. 7, 1897 in New Ulm to Athanas and Ida (Baer) Henle and was the granddaughter of the first settlers of New Ulm, Athanasius and Elizabeth Fink Henle. She attended Holy Trinity Grade School and Good Counsel Academy in Mankato. She worked as a stenographer and bookkeeper at the Eagle Roller Mill Company in New Ulm. On Aug. 8, 1921, she married Theodore Furth at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. In her later years she assisted her husband in the insurance business. She was a charter member of St. Mary's Parish. She was a member of Catholic Aid Society, St. Monica Society, American Legion Auxiliary, Sioux Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Red Cross volunteers, the Catholic Daughters of America, Junior Pioneers and Brown County Historical Society.
   The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorials made in her memory will be distributed to her chosen charities.

   Lloyd Neuenschwander 73, of Kokomo, Ind. and formerly of Hanska and the Martin County area, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 1999, at Howard Community Hospital in Kokomo.
   Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Nora Unitarian Universalist Church in Hanska with burial in the Mt. Pisquah Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Madelia veterans organizations at the cemetery.
   Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church.
    Firle Funeral Home of Hanska is handling arrangements.
   He is survived by special friend Marcia Lawrence of Kokomo, Ind.; son, Brett Neuenschwander and his wife Carol of Northfield; daughters, Cheryl Grundman and her husband Rich of Eagan, Paula Tatro and her husband Doug of Madelia, Cindy Van Orman and her husband Owen of Palmer, Alaska; 12 grandchildren; brother, Merle Neuenschwander of New Jersey; sisters, Marlys Bertilson and her husband Alvin of Madelia, Ardella Hall of Madelia; and his former wife Hazel Neuenschwander of Anchorage, Alaska; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
   He was preceded in death by his parents.
   He was born March 19, 1926, in Fraser Township, Martin County, to Albeit and Mabel (Galles) Neuenschwander. He attended country schools . He married Hazel Hilken in 1953. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 and was stationed in Korea. After military services, he farmed in the Madelia area. He later worked as a truck driver. He retired in 1991. He moved to Kokomo, Indiana in 1993. He was a member of the Nora Unitarian Universalist Church in Hanska, American Legion, VFW, and the American Quarter Horse Association.
