   Donna Mae Huiras, 41, of 918 N. Washington in New Ulm, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at her home.
   Mass of Christian burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery in New Ulm.
   Visitation is 3-7 p.m. today and 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home, New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
   She is survived by her mother, Marlee Hillesheim and her husband, Roman of Sleepy Eye; sister, Mitzie Huiras of New Ulm; brother, Mike "Hershey" Huiras of Arlington, Texas; several stepbrothers and stepsisters; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
   She was preceded in death by her father, Victor Huiras in 1972; stepfather, Clarence Deopere; and grandparents, Ben and Agatha Gulden and Joe and Leona Huiras.
   She was born Dec. 19, 1958, in Sleepy Eye to Victor and Marlee (Gulden) Huiras. She had cerebral palsey since birth. She had been a resident at the Faribault Regional Center since the age of six. In 1996, she moved into a group home at 918 N. Washington in New Ulm. She had been battling cancer for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the New Ulm Food Shelf. Items for the food shelf may be dropped off during the visitation at the funeral home.

   Esther M. Hanson , 86, of Canby, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Sioux Valley Canby Hospital.
   Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Canby, with burial in the city cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Birk Funeral Home, Canby, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
   She is survived by daughters, Janice and husband Roger Zimmerman of Porter, and Sandra and husband James Kragness of New Ulm; foster son Douglas and wife Bev Mork of Baltic, S.D.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister Florence Eischens of Waconia; brother William Fairchild of Camby; and several nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one great-grandchild; sisters, Ruth Mork and Myrtle Henningsgard; and brothers, Horace and Glenn Fairchild.
   She was born Nov. 20, 1913, in Fortier Township, Yellow Medicine County, to Roy and Etta (Arnes) Fairchild. She attended rural schools. She graduated from Canby High School in 1931. She married Mandrup C. Hanson on Dec. 28, 1932 in Canby. They farmed in the Canby area for many years, moving into Canby in 1963. After Mandrup died in 1976, she moved to Sara Ann Apartments. In March she moved to Senior Haven, Canby. She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Canby.

   Lester Nott, 93, of Clements, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Wood Dale Nursing Home, Redwood Falls.
   Services are pending with Nelson Funeral Home, Redwood Falls.

   Dustin 'Dusty' Lloyd Nachreiner, 17, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, in rural Sleepy Eye as the result of an auto accident.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
   He is survived by his parents; sister, Melissa and special friend Matt Serbus of Kimball; grandparents, Leon and Betty Nachreiner of Sleepy Eye, and Lloyd and LaDonna Havemeier of Sleepy Eye; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
   He was born March 28, 1983, in Sleepy Eye, to Terry and Theresa (Havemeier) Nachreiner. He grew up in Sleepy Eye and attended Sleepy Eye Public School. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, and a past member of FFA.

   Abdon Lager, 96, of Winthrop, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, at Gaylord Lakeview Home.
   Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Bernadotte Lutheran Church, Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
   Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Winthrop, is in charge of arrangements.

   Bernice Hartmann, 73, of Waubun, died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2000, at her home.
   Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Waubun with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Anderson Funeral Home, Mahnomen, and one hour before services at the church. A prayer service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
   She is survived by her husband, Howard of Waubun; sons, Martin and wife, Gayle of Walker, Allen and wife, Belva of Homedale, Idaho; daughters, Rose and husband, Robert Spladrich of Climax, Minnie and husband, DuWayne Thompson of Crookston; brother, Alfred of Deerwood; sister, Alice Marstone of Hanska; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.
   She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Molly, and a grandson, Andy.
   Bernice Irene Hindermann was born April 8, 1927, on a farm in Nicollet County, near New Ulm, to Harry and Clara (Hogan) Hindermann. As a young woman, she moved into New Ulm, where she worked as a housekeeper. On April 20, 1948, she married Howard Hartmann in New Ulm. They lived on a farm in the area. They moved to the Wabun community in 1952, and have lived there since.

   Ellen Asplund, 92, of Belview, formerly of St. Louis Park, died Monday, Nov. 27, 2000, at Parkview Home, Belview.
