   Judy Ann Zamzow, 59, of Brooklyn Park and formerly of the Morgan area, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001 at her home.
   Services are 11 a.m. Friday at Brooklyn Park Lutheran Church in Brooklyn Park.
   Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Friday at the church.
   A visitation and memorial service start a 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Morgan.
   Evans Norby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
   She is survived by children, Steve of Plymouth, Beth of Minneapolis, Susan and her husband, Frederic of New York, Paula of Minneapolis; four grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ron and Marcella Madsen, Bill and Janet Madsen, Gary and Linda Madsen; and other relatives.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfried; and her parents, Weldon and Clara Madsen.
   She was born in Brookville Township, Brown County, Minnesota, on Nov. 7, 1942, to Weldon and Clara (Busiahn) Madsen. She graduated from Morgan High School in 1960. She received a registered nurse diploma in 1963 from Lutheran Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis. She married Wilfried Zamzow on Dec. 29, 1963, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Morgan. They farmed in Three Lakes Township until Wilfried's death in 1978. She worked at Sleepy Eye, Heron Lake and Redwood Falls hospitals. In 1988, she relocated to Mankato and worked as an obstetrics nurse at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital. She earned a B.S. degree in nursing from Mankato State University in 1990. She received a master's degree with a focus in midwifery from the University of Minnesota in 1992. After moving to Ashland, Wis., in 1994, she worked at Duluth Clinic-Ashland and Memorial Medical Center as a nurse midwife. In 1998, she moved to Minneapolis and continued her work with the nurse midwives at Park Nicollet Health Services.

   Cleotha Zieske, 86, of Walnut Grove, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at St. John Lutheran Home, Springfield.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at English Lutheran Church, Walnut Grove, with burial in Springfield City Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Jacobson Funeral Home, Walnut Grove, and one hour prior to services at the church.
   She is survived by a son, Steve of Bloomington; two grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Audrey and Vince Kamolz; and several nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald in 1976; and a brother, Harlowe.
   She was born Sept. 22, 1915, in Comfrey, to Charles and Ella Krueger Schneider. They moved to Walnut Grove in 1924, where she graduated from high school in 1933. She graduated from Brady Rogers School of Cosmetology in Minneapolis. She worked at Doigs Beauty Shop and Walt's Barber and Beauty Shop in Walnut Grove. She married Donald Zieske on Feb. 24, 1939, in Walnut Grove. She belonged to English Lutheran Church, Walnut Grove.

   Ruth Bussler, 87, of Winthrop, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at Gaylord Lakeview Nursing Home.
   Arrangements are pending at Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel, Winthrop.

   Lee Owens, 76, of Lake Crystal, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001, at his home.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal, with burial in Jerusalem Cemetery, rural Lake Crystal.
   Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Friday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and one hour prior to services at the church.
   He is survived by his wife, Helen; a son, Joseph N.L. Owens of rural Lake Crystal; sisters, Edna Owens of rural Lake Crystal, and JoAnn Davis and husband Oryle of Medford; brothers, Glen Owens and Raymond Owens, of rural Lake Crystal and Donald Owens of Foreston; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
   He was born May 18, 1925, in Judson Township, Blue Earth County, to Joseph and Myrtle (Davis) Owens. He attended Four Corner School, Judson Township. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, from Dec. 4, 1944, to Dec. 16, 1946. He married Helen Rogers on May 25, 1966, in Nashua, Iowa. He farmed and owned and operated Lee's Drive Inn in Lake Crystal in 1957-1968. He drove truck for the Mankato Creamery and gas transport for his brother. He was Judson Township assessor in the 1960s. He belonged to American Legion Post 294 in Lake Crystal.

   James Sheesley, 86, of Fairfax, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at his home.
   Services are 2 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church in Hector, with burial in the Hector City Cemetery.
   Visitation is 5 - 8 p.m. today at Hughes Funeral Home in Hector, and one hour prior to services at the church.
   He is survived by his children, Gary Sheesley and wife Barbara, of Bonifay, Fla.; Sheila Proehl, of Golden Valley; Nancy Edwards and husband Bob, of Duluth; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Agnes; and brothers, Lee, Lewis and Merlyn.
   He was born Jan. 15,1915, in Bert, Iowa, to James and Nellie (Sandquist) Sheesley. He grew up and attended school in Hector. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He married Agnes Roberts. The couple farmed in the Hector area. Agnes died in 1977. He then retired and moved to Fairfax. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Hector and Hector American Legion.

   Marie Malmberg, 93, formerly of Lafayette, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop.
   Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette, with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and one hour prior services at the the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
   She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Jim Phillips of Lafayette, and Marjorie and Gene Bieraugel of Enterprise, Ore.; son and daughter-in-law, John and Judy Malmberg of Lake Elmo; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a sister, Coletta Hartung of Hutchinson.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl W. Malmberg on Oct. 28, 2001; a grandson, Michael Bieraugel; and a sister, Florence Krohn.
   She was born March 14, 1908, in New Richland, to Josef and Theresa (Walser) Volz. She graduated from New Ulm High School in 1925 and in 1926 she attended Normal Training in Mankato and then attended St. Cloud State for one year. She taught in country schools in Nicollet County for thirteen years. She married Carl W. Malmberg on Nov. 6, 1940, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. After marriage they farmed in Bernadotte Township, Nicollet County and retired in 1977. In 1979 they moved to Lafayette and in 1998 they moved to New Ulm. In 1999 they both became residents of the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop. She was active as a Bernadotte 4-H Leader, the Lafayette Study Club for 49 years and received the "Outstanding Senior Citizen Award" in Nicollet County with her husband in 1994. She volunteered as a Grey Lady at the Lafayette Good Samaritan Center in Lafayette for many years. She was a charter member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church in Lafayette, and was the secretary for the Altar Society at church for 20 years. The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers.
