   Jason Budenski, 24, of 100 S. German, in New Ulm, died Saturday, Dec., 11, 1999, at his home.
   Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm with burial in the city cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home and continues one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.
   He is survived by his wife, Cherie Jane Budenski of New Ulm; children, Gabrielle and Allison Budenski; parents, Kenneth and Karen Budenski of New Ulm; sisters, Jenna Budenski of Apple Valley and Janel Budenski of New Ulm; brothers, Jared Budenski of Mitchell, S.D. and Jordan Budenski of New Ulm; grandmother, Rose Iverson of New Ulm; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Jane Baker of New Ulm; brother-in-law, Randy Baker of New Ulm; grandparents-in-law, Leland and Mary Baker, and Dale and Patricia Schlottman, all of New Ulm.
   He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Myron "Bud" Iverson and Edward and Lorraine Budenski.
   He was born on Jan. 6, 1975, in Springfield, Kenneth and Karen (Iverson) Budenski. He graduated from New Ulm High School in 1993. He married Cherie Jane Baker on Feb. 11, 1995 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in New Ulm. He was employed at Caterpillar in New Ulm for the last five years. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

   Harold W. Soukup , 90 of Roselle Park, N.J., died Nov. 27, 1999, at his home.
   Mass of Christian burial was held Dec. 1 in the Church of the Assumption in Roselle Park.
   He is survived by his sister Gertrude Droll of Roselle Park and his companion Jeanne D. Sykes.
   He was born in New Ulm to Peter and Anna (Flor) Soukup. He graduated from St. John's University in Collegeville. He lived in Jersey City before moving to Roselle Park 51 years ago. He was employed by the Boyle-Midway American Home Products for more than 50 years before retiring as plant manager 25 years ago.

   Gladys Brown , 77, of 1404 S. German St., New Ulm, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at her home.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church in New Ulm with burial in the city cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and continues 7:30-8:30 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm and one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.

    Esther S. Hansen , 87, of Trimont, died Monday, Dec. 13 at Trimont Health Care Center in Trimont.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont with burial will be in Cedar Lutheran Cemetery in rural Trimont.
   Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Kramer Family Funeral Home in Trimont and one hour prior to the services on Thursday.
   She is survived by her husband, Harry Hansen of Trimont; daughters, Joyce Ekstadt and her husband, John of Lakeville, Karen Buhler and husband, David of Butterfield; sons, Dale Hansen and his wife, Mildred of Ormsby, Larry Hansen of St James and Brian Hansen and his wife Joanne of Trimont; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Irene Hansen and Alma Lenning and other relatives.
   She was born Dec. 10, 1912, in rural Triumph, to John and Mary (Meyer) Kramer. She attended District 28 rural school and graduated from Triumph-Monterey High School in 1929. On Jan.12, 1932, she married Harry Hansen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Monterey. They farmed in Cedar Township until retiring in 1979. They moved to Trimont in 1992. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Trimont and its Ladies Aid.

   Elma L. Wagner, 95, of St. James, died Monday, Dec. 13, 1999, at St. James.
   Services are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in St. James, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery in St. James.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Thursday at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James, and at the church Thursday one hour prior to the service.
   She is survived by children, Jerry and wife Mary Ann Wagner of St. James, Carol and husband Dennis Heckman of St. James, Sylvia "Sue" and husband Chuck Ekstedt of St. James, and Gail and husband John Peterson of Appleton, Wis.; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and sister-in-law, Leanna Froehling of St. James.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dan on March 18, 1976; daughter, Vonnie and husband Walter Otter; grandson, Todd Heckman; brothers, John, Henry and Herbert; and sisters, Linda Wordalman, Della Panter and Anna Fleming.
   She was born June 7, 1904, in Oak Grove, Ill., to Harm and Anna (Hopmann) Froehling. In 1910 she moved with her family to St. James where she attended St. Paul's Parochial School. She married Dan Wagner on May 18, 1928, in Madelia. They farmed in Rosendale Township. They retired in 1966. After her husband's death in 1976. In 1986, she became a resident of Pleasant View Good Samaritan Home.

   Lyle S. Wendelschafer , 82, of rural St. Peter, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at the St. Peter Health Care Center.
   Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Peter, with burial to follow in the Greenhill Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Klein Funeral Home in St. Peter, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church,
   He is survived by his wife, Myra Wendelschafer of rural St. Peter; daughters, Joyce Morrissette of Richfield, Ronda and her husband Dan Gapinski of Burnsville; son, Tom and his wife Mary Wendelschafer of St. Peter; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Leverson.
   He was born July 9, 1917, in Le Sueur County, to Otto and Nellie (Haney) Wendelschafer. He graduated from St. Peter High School. He farmed in Le Sueur County. On Jan., 3, 1940, he married Myra Wolf in New Ulm. He was on the board of directors for Le Center Creamery and Highway Ag for more than 30 years. He was a lifelong member of the St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church. He became a resident of the St. Peter Health Care Center in May 1999.
   Memorials are preferred to the church.

   Hulda Drusch, 95, of Morgan, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at Gil-Mor Manor Nursing Home in Morgan.
    Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Morgan with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church.
   Nelson Funeral Home handled arrangements.
   She is survived by sisters, Lilly Schwerzler and Dora Kamholz, both of Morgan.
   She was preceded in death by six brothers and seven sisters.
   She was born on Jan. 22, 1904, in Morgan Township, Redwood County, to William and Clara (Fenske) Drusch. She attended District 109 country school. She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Laub and Dr. Alexander and then worked at the Redwood Falls Cafe. She retired in 1969. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

   Rose Welsch , 93, of Lucan, died Sunday, Dec. 12, 1999, at Wabasso Health Care Center.
   Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan with burial in the church cemetery.
   Visitation is 4- p.m. today and continues Wednesday one hour prior to services at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today followed by a Catholic Aid rosary.
    Sunset Funeral Home in Wabasso is handling the arrangements.
   She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Alois Pohlen of Madison, sister-in-law, Cecelia Welsch of the Wabasso Health Care Center, and many nieces and nephews.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John on Oct. 30, 1958; brothers, Joe, Carl, Leo, Tony, and Frank Plaetz; and sisters, Frances Wurscher, Theresa Bernardy, Johanna Manderscheid, and Mary Kolbe.
   She was born June 2, 1906, in Lucan, to Anton and Johanna (Brau) Plaetz. She attended District 81 school. On Sept. 12, 193e, she married John Welsch at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, and she belonged to Catholic Aid Society, and Council of Catholic Women.

   Forrest D. 'Fizz' Mariner, 75, of Jackson, died Dec. 11, 1999, at his home.
    Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jackson with burial in Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Jackson.
   Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at Sathe and Son Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church.
   He is survived by his wife, Valeria Mariner of Jackson; sons, Robert and wife Cheryl Mariner of Champlin, and David and wife Erika Mariner of Mallon, Nev.; daughters, MaryBeth and husband David Paulson of Jackson, Judy and her husband Ross Simmelink of Emmetsburg, Iowa, and Susan Mariner of Chandler, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren; brothers, F. George and wife Betty Mariner of Sleepy Eye, John and his wife Lois Mariner of Sleepy Eye, Donald and wife Pat Mariner of Mission, Texas; sister Nancy Kiddie of Lafayette, Colo.; and sister-in-law, Marlys Mariner of Roseville.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Stanley Frank Mariner; and brother, Henry Mariner.
   He was born June 2, 1924, in Sanborn to Frank and Genevieve (Matson) Mariner. He graduated from Sanborn High School in 1942 as valedictorian. He married Valeria Madson on July 26, 1946, in Comfrey. He worked for the elevator in Sanborn. In 1947, he started to work for the elevator in Jackson, serving as manager from 1951-86. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Jackson. He served as mayor of Jackson for two terms and on the city council for three terms. He served as Master of the Masonic Lodge. He served on the hospital board. He was instrumental in the planing and organizing of the Vo-Tech in Jackson. He was a special ambassador to Korea in 1964 and India in 1966 for grains.
