   Lois Rosnau , 78, of Winthrop, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at the North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, as a result of injuries she sustained in an auto accident.
   Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 20, at 10:30 a.m., at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Winthrop. Burial will be in the Winthrop Cemetery.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday and 7:30-8 a.m. Saturday at the Dalin-Hantge Funeral Chapel in Winthrop. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the time of services at the church on Saturday.

   Janet Steffl , age 61, of Clements, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at her home in Clements, surrounded by her loving family.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 18, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Morgan, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
   Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, both at the church.
   Arrangements are being handled by Nelson-Martin Funeral Service of Morgan. Memorials preferred to "We Care," St. Michael's School or the American Cancer Society.
   Janet Margaret Steffl was born Dec. 12, 1942, in New Ulm, the daughter of Edward and Louise (Fischer) Schmitz. She grew up in Lafayette and graduated from Winthrop High School in 1960. Following her school, she worked as a telephone operator for New Ulm Telephone Co. On Oct. 26, 1963, she was united in marriage to Edwin L. Steffl at St. Gregory The Great Catholic Church in Lafayette. They lived near Morgan from 1963 until December 1969, when they moved to a farm near Clements. She worked as a dietary aide, housekeeper, and recently, as a laundry aide at Sunwood Good Samaritan Center for 20 years until her present illness.
   She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Clements. She belonged to Christian Mothers, Catholic Aid Association, and was an active volunteer for St. Michael's School in Morgan.
   Her hobbies included sewing, creative writing and baking. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. Janet collected Snow Babies, Coke-Cola memorabilia and farm toys, and she enjoyed bargain hunting. She also created the game Color Craze. Janet also was a volunteer for the We Care Program in Morgan.
   Janet is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edwin of Clements; four children, Anthony Steffl and wife LeAnn of Lakeville, Christopher Steffl and wife Carol of New Ulm, Amy Nesburg and husband Timothy of Morton, and Denise Peterson and husband Timmy of Detroit Lakes; 11 grandchildren, Caitlyn, Holly, Ryan, Justin, Brandon, Brady, Mackenzie, Beau, Signey, Michaela and Zachariah; mother Louise (Fischer) Schmitz of New Ulm; two sisters, Marlys Huss and husband Roger of Kinnelon, N.J., and Deanna Paa and her husband Ken of New Ulm; and brother Ronald Schmitz and wife Bette of Spicer.
    She was preceded in death by her father Edward Schmitz; and infant daughter, Christine.

   Douglas Webster , 68, of rural Winthrop, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2003, at the Sibley Medical Center in Arlington as a result of injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.
   Funeral arrangements are pending with the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
