Sheri Ubl , 38, of St. Paul Park and formerly of New Ulm died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester. Mass of Christian burial is 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with burial in the Catholic Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today and 7:30-11 a.m. Thursday at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Sheri is survived by her husband, Steve J. Ubl of St. Paul Park; daughter, Katie and son, Dan, both at home; parents, Alfred, Jr. "Fritz" and Lillian Aschenbrenner of New Ulm; brother and sister-in-law, Brian and Teresa Aschenbrenner of rural Sleepy Eye; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike and Laura Ubl of Lakeville, Pat and Barb Ubl of New Ulm, George and Rose Ubl of Hayward, Calif., Bill and Wanda Ubl of New Ulm, Marge and Ben Tolles of Clontarf, Mary Ubl of Minneapolis, Jane Ubl of Mankato; and by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Dorothy Ubl. She was born on June 13, 1962 in New Ulm to Alfred Jr. and Lillian (Schroepfer) Aschenbrenner. She attended Catholic schools in New Ulm and graduated from Cathedral High School in 1980. On August 7, 1982, she married Steve J. Ubl at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. They lived in New Ulm for five years. She had worked at Minnesota Valley Testing Laboratories (M.V.T.L.) and Fischer Drug in New Ulm. They moved to the Twin Cities area in 1987 and moved to St. Paul Park in December of 1988. She worked at Land O Lakes in Arden Hills as a legal secretary for the past 13 years. Robert E. Boerner, 68, of Weslaco, Texas, and formerly of Arlington, died Tuesday Dec. 26, 2000, at Weslaco. Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Arlington, with burial in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Visitation is 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Fenske Funeral Home, Arlington, handled arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Carol Boerner of Weslaco, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lisa Boerner of Waconia; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Jeffrey Priess of Waconia; brothers and sister-in-law, Kenneth Boerner of Champlin, Keith and Carol Boerner of Moorhead; and grandchildren, Matthew and Jonathon Priess, and Adam Boerner. He was preceded in death by parents; and brother, Donald. He was born Dec. 13, 1932, in Arlington. He graduated from Glencoe High School in 1951. He serviced in the Korean Conflict from June 1951 until 1955. He married Carol Sackett on Jan. 8, 1960, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Auburn. He worked at Mueller Brothers Ford in Arlington and the Big Stone Canning company. After retirement in 1994, he lived in northern Minnesota in the summers and in Weslaco, Texas, in the winter. He was trustee of Immanuel Lutheran church in Mercedes, Texas. Thomas Bode, 46, of Mankato, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000, at his home. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, Mankato. Visitation will be at the church Thursday, one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Mankato Mortuary. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Bode of Mankato; stepdaughter Jessica Sandstrom and special friend Jason McGinley of Minneapolis; granddaughter, Jezayah McGinley; father and mother, Loren "Pete" and Lois Bode of New Ulm; maternal grandmother, Veronica Zieske of New Ulm; brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Rachel of New Ulm; sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Ron Enter of Buffalo; stepbrothers, stepsisters, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his mother, June Bode; paternal grandparents and a maternal grandfather. He was born July 13, 1954, in New Ulm to Loren "Pete" and June Mae (Zieske) Bode. After graduation from Nicollet High School, he worked at Cotter & Company of Mankato since 1976 until 1994 when he retired due to ill health. He married JoAnn Sandstrom on July 16, 1982, in North Mankato. Wendelin 'Scotty' A. Nosbush ROCHESTER -- Wendelin "Scotty" A. Nosbush, 81, of Marshall, formerly of St. George, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Clotilde's Catholic Church, Green Valley, with burial at 3 p.m. St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery, Fairfax. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at the church and 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the church. A parish prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today. Arrangements are handled by Rehkamp Funeral Home, Marshall. He is survived by his wife, Rachel of Marshall; daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Ralph Pearson of Grove City, Patricia and Roger Buboltz of Redwood Falls; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Rondee and Leroy, both of Fairfax and Bradley and Sara of Nicollet; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alphonse of Taunton, Lawrence and Marie of New Ulm, Aloysious and Dorothy of Canby and Ambrose and Jean of Fairfax; a sister, Sister Edna of Mankato; stepsons and daughters-in-law, William and Marsha Minnehan of Farmington, Clayton and Barb Minnehan and Michael and Kathy Minnehan, both of Slayton, and Richard Minnehan of Marshall; sister-in-law, Magdalene of Portland, Ore.; and 19 grandchildren. Memorials are preferred to the School Sisters of Notre Dame Retirement Fund. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Bernice; sisters, Sister M. Ancilla, Sister M. Lorraine and Sister Mary Bertha; an infant brother Ambrose and brother Otto and Joseph. He was born March 15, 1919, in St. Leo to Peter and Sophia (Eischens) Nosbush. He grew up in St. Leo. He left the family farm in 1938 and moved to the Fairfax area and worked for farmers. He bought his own farm in 1955. He married Bernice Binder on June 30, 1956, in St. George. They farmed and were members of St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Fairfax, She died Oct. 7, 1976. He married Rachel Minnehan on Nov. 5, 1988 in Green Valley. They lived in Marshall. He was a member of Solo Parents, the Weiner Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and State Auxiliary Board.
