    Violet E. Brueggemeier , 69, of Arlington, died Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine.
   Services are 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 31, at Zion Lutheran Church in Green Isle Township.
   Visitation is 4-8 p.m., Thursday at Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington; and one hour before the service Friday at the church.
   She is survived by husband Martin Brueggemeier of Arlington; sons, Virgil of New Prague, Merlin of Arlington, David of Belle Plaine, Duane of Arlington; eight grandchildren; and sisters, Melva Teschendorf of Green Isle, Lilah Boser of New Brighton, Orma Menk of Nicollet, Arlene Pieschke of Glencoe and Viola St. John of Arlington.
   She was born July 28, 1935, in Arlington Township, to William and Alma (Wentzlaff) Brockoff.

   Ruby Dittbenner , 90, of Sleepy Eye, died Dec. 28, 2004 , at Country Side Apartments in Sleepy Eye.
   Arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.

   Randall E. Pettis , 48, of Axtell, Nebr., and formerly of Redwood Falls, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebr.
   Services are 11:30 a.m, Friday, Dec. 31, at Nelson-Martin Funeral Service in Redwood Falls, with burial in Beaver Falls Cemetery in Beaver Falls Township.
   Visitation is 9:30-11:30 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.
   He is survived by mother, Opal Pettis of Redwood Falls; sister Andrea Kessler of Redwood Falls; and brother Merle Pettis of Redwood Falls;
   He was born Sept. 21, 1956, in Redwood Falls, to Andrew and Opal (Lundquist) Pettis.

   Norma Frances Woratschka N , 89, of 1208 South Washington, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at the Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye.
   Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Father Samuel Perez celebrating. Burial will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
   Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and from 7:30-10 a.m. Friday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. The Christian Mothers Society will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Cathedral. The St. Anne's Court, NCSF and the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society will pray the rosary at 6 p.m. and there will be a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. both Thursday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm.
   Norma is survived by her daughters and sons-in-laws, Janice and Ervin Helget of New Ulm, Diane Olsen of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Sharon and Denny Thraen of Chetek, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren, Kelly and Teresa Helget of Ely, Shery and Michael Moody of Mankato, Dawn and Michael Schoenstedt of Stillwater, Darla Helget of Jackson, Wade and Kathleen Olsen of Eagan, John Olsen of San Francisco, California, Kathy and Tom Berg of White Bear Lake, Jay and Kathy Fleck of Eagan, and Tracy and Mike Kochmann of Oviedo, Florida; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; and sisters and a brother-in-law, Irene Brey of New Ulm, Bernice and Roger Gutzke of Richfield.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Woratschka on November 15, 1995, her parents, Joseph and Anna (Hoffmann) Warta, and by a brother-in-law, Norbert Brey.
   Norma Frances Warta was born on Oct. 7, 1915 in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County to Joseph and Anna (Hoffmann) Warta. On November 6, 1939, she married Leo Woratschka at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. They farmed in Lafayette Township, Nicollet County until retiring and moving to New Ulm in 1978. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Society, St. Elizabeth's Catholic Aid Society, and the St. Anne's Court, NCSF, and a lifelong member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. She was also a Red Cross volunteer for fifteen years. Norma became a resident of Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye on December 3, 2004.
