   Dorothy E. Benson , 95, of Mountain Lake, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Lake.
   Services are 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at the United Methodist Church in St. James. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
   Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Friday and 7:30-9 a.m., Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home, St. James and Saturday at the church, one hour prior to the service.
   She is survived by a daughter Evelyn Laingen Larsen of Hackensack; a son Earl R. Benson of Stoddard, Wis.; seven grandchildren; 15 grandchildren; and a brother and Kenneth of Aurora, Colo.

   Gordon Hauth , 74, of rural Springfield, died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
   Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2004, at the St. John Lutheran Home Chapel in Springfield with burial in the St. Paul's Catholic Cemetery in Comfrey. Military honors will be conducted by the Springfield Legion Honor Guard at the cemetery.
   Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to the time of service at the St. John Lutheran Home Chapel Friday.
   Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm is in charge of the arrangements.
   Gordon is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald J. and Lavonne Hauth of Springfield, Randy G. and Jennifer Hauth of Sleepy Eye, Roger P. and Diane Hauth of Springfield, and Marvin E. and Junelle Hauth of Fort Dodge, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister and brother-in-law, Renata and Lawrence Middleton of Springfield.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marlys on July 9, 1978; daughter Diane Schroeder; sisters, Roseita Hauth in infancy, Mildred Quiram, Irene Fromm; and a brother, Royal Hauth.
   Gordon was born on August 26, 1929, in rural Springfield to August and Louise (Schultz) Hauth. He attended country school until the eighth grade and helped on the family farm until joining the Army in 1954, with a tour of duty in France. In 1956, he was honorably discharged from the Army. He married Marlys Briske on September 12, 1956, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Ulm. He enjoyed farming and running a dairy operation. He loved to spend time with his relatives, friends, neighbors, family, and most of all his grandchildren. He liked to listen to old tyme music and helped his sons start their own band.

   Eugene 'Lemon' LeMoine , 80, of New Ulm died Monday, Dec. 29, 2003 at the New Ulm Medical Center .
   Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Burial will be in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery with full military honors by New Ulm veterans organizations.
   Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday and will continue from 7:30-10:30 a.m., Saturday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home in New Ulm. There will be a 6:30 p.m. rosary by the St. Joseph Catholic Aid Council and a 7:30 p.m. parish prayer service both Friday at the funeral home.

   Lowell B. Weedman , 75, of Clements, died Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, at Springfield Medical Center Hospital.
   Funeral arrangements are pending with Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.
