We'll begin our tour at the harbor with its first class marina. Its proximity to Downtown provides our boating friends the opportunity to walk only a short distance to access any goods or services they need. Indeed, the harbor is a pleasant gathering spot for anyone in Alpena, with great views and the usual bustling harbor activities.

What are those soothing sounds we hear? Perhaps it is the sound of waves lapping on the public beach nearby, or the laughter of the children at the Kiddie Park, or the melodies coming from yet another group entertaining at the waterfront, outdoor bandshell.

Let's continue walking by joining the bikers on the beautiful new River Bi-Path (you can rent a bicycle later for a more lengthy tour). Walking along the Thunder Bay River and enjoying the splendors of nature right in the heart of the City is a wonderful treat.
