In a peaceful little corner with friendly people, the North Star Motel of Rogers City, Michigan, offers a great deal to tourists and adventurers. The North Star is a modern motel located just three miles south of the city, giving customers a quiet place to rest from all the excitement of the town.

The North Star has an outdoor heated pool, a noiseless air-conditioning system, a small glade for sitting or picnicking, Direct television, and is proudly the first motel in Michigan to have a forced-air heating system. Its prime location offers plenty of space for boat parking in the summer and direct access to miles of snowmobile trails in the winter.

Rogers City is a quiet town with plenty to offer a tourist or nature lover. Home of the famous Salmon Tournament, the town gives anglers and hunters a broad spectrum of wildlife to seek. The annual Rogers City Festival also brings a jovial mood to the area every summer. The area also is home to a number of lighthouses that possess a beauty and aura that appeal to many.

The motel also sits within easy driving distance of nearby Posen, home of the Posen Potato festival, and Mackinac City to the north. The Color Tour passes through every autumn, always with vibrant hues and breathtaking displays. Just outside of town is the largest limestone quarry in the world, a canyonlike abyss that compels many travelers who have never heard of it to stop to take snapshots. A road was built just for access to the wondrous view.

Even inside the motel, the views are fantastic! The lobby and each room has its own mural with themes specific to the local area. The paintings were commissioned during the recent renovation and redecoration of the entire facility.
